 This is second type of Shani Chalisa and Aarti, useful and worth chanting, you can either choose earlier version of Chalisa and Aarti or this one — though it doesn’t matter much it is just a matter of taste. Shri Shani Chalisa ॥ दोहा ॥ जय गणेश गिरिजा सुवन, मंगल करण कृपाल; दीनन के दुःख दूर करि , कीजै नाथ निहाल ॥ जय जय श्री शनिदेव प्रभु , सुनहु विनय महाराज; करहु कृपा हे रवि तनय , राखहु जन की लाज ॥ || चौपाई ॥ १) जयति जयति शनिदेव दयाला, करत सदा भक्तन प्रतिपाला ॥ २) चारि भुजा, तनु श्याम विराजै, माथे रतन मुकुट छवि छाजै ॥

 These 108 names are good for attracting the grace of Shani and for removing its bad phase from one's life, known as Dhaiyya and Sadhe-Sati. They are also useful for doing Havan; Havan is the fastest way to make a deity happy as each offering in Havan reaches to a deity.  Shani is a deity who gives lots of money to astrologers, ‘coz everyone is afraid of Shani; and when it is not at a good place in one’s horoscope, it may cause troubles. And to pacify it, there are Anusthans, Gem remedy, Daan and other kinds of involvement. And it takes lots of money. So why not, one should worship Shani everyday, or at least once a week, on Saturday. It is simple, from the side (never meet straight to him) light a diya filled with mustard oil, offer some flowers and chant Shani Chalisa 3, 5, 7, 11, or more times in odd numbers. One short cut way to worship Shani is just to chant his Aarti. After Aarti one shouldn’t chant Chalisa, ‘coz it is chanted in the end.
