Brahma Vaivarta Purana says that Parmatma Krishan, Bhagwan Vishnu, Bhagwan Brahma, Bhagwan Mahadev, Indra and all the Devatas worshipped Devi Durga. And in every Kalpa She is being worshipped by Devatas, Muni, Rishi and humans.
To worship Devi Durga, there are four Navratri -- in which two are main Navratri (first starts from Chaitra / Vasanta Shukla Partipada to Navami, and second starts from from Sharad Shukla Pratipada to Navami) and rest two are called Gupt Navratri. They are the special days to please Devi Durga. Any mantra of Her during these time periods awakens fast.
