Compare different images: Windows > Arrange, best thing for image comparison.
Count tool: Image > Analysis > Count tool, helps to count multiple marks in your image, for example, number of stars or number of ducks.
Spot healing helps removing blemishes or acne on skin; healing helps in cloning, or copying and pasting from source target to the object (clone stamp tool also works in somewhat similar fashion); patch helps kind of overlapping with mirroring from the target to the source; content aware move tool helps in moving object and filling the remaining area by surrounding pixels, it also works pretty well when we extend somebody's height and width, something like thickness of a chest, stomach, lip or face; red eye to remove red eye or red mark from the image.
Dodge lightens the selected area; burn turns the area darker; sponge to saturate or desaturate an image, that is to make vibrant or dull.
Blur makes an image blurry; sharpen makes an image bright; smudge tool works something like you are using a brush, it mixes the pixels and gives oil painting kind of look.
Custom shape: Press "u" and use "Shift" to select Custom shape. Now to turn any image into Custom shape, Edit > Define custom shape (name it and use it for future purpose).
Edit > Preset > Preset manager, to load and save settings of Brushes, Swatches, Gradients, Styles, Patterns, Contours, Custom Shapes and Tools.
Preferences: press Ctrl+K, many kinds of settings, including — RAM, Graphic Card, File Handling, Sync Setting , and others. They all are very useful for performance.
