Rath Yatra is celebrated on Ashadha Sudi Dooj, this day Balram, Krishna and Subhadra are worshiped. Balram is elder brother of Krishna and Subhadra is his sister. This day a Rath (रथ) is arranged, in which their Murtis are decorated, with Band-Baja (बैंड बाजा) they move in streets, generally around a temple — it is also called Shoba Yatra.
This festival, people should do charitable acts like feeding the poor; providing their health-checkups with free medicines by appointing doctors; distributing free clothes; and arrangements for shelter in the time of intense cold (number of poor people die in cold every year). As lord Krishna says that he lives in everyone’s heart, so we should take care of the poor, mainly those who have health problems and can’t earn any penny.
By worshiping them, one gets harmony in one’s family, relationship improves ‘coz they are brother-brother and brother-sister; in other words it is a festival which solves many purpose, including the grace of lord Krishna and blessings of the poor.
There are lots of things you may find related to lord Krishna, here is one Aarti for Balram (Sheshnaag took avatar in the form of Balram to serve lord Krishna).
