A man is known by the company he keeps. That’s true. Bad company creates undesirable situations, ‘coz they don’t know what to do and when to do — as this story tells:
Once an owl visited a goose, they became friend — both lived happily hunting and enjoying, their time was fun. After few weeks owl desired to return to his place, where it used to live. Goose was unhappy, at this owl said, “Come at my place whenever you feel like, we’d live again together,” and flew off.
After a month goose went to the owl’s place; as owl is night creature, goose hardly found it inside a deep hole in a tree. When they met, they rejoiced — goose was tired, so after few exchanges it fell asleep. At night owl kept on doing his schedule: hunting and roaming around. After collecting sufficient food, owl came and slept with the goose.
In evening, some people had stayed to sleep under the very tree where goose and owl was sleeping. In early morning, all people woke up and as they were preparing themselves for the journey — immediately owl made ear-piercing-sound. People found this inauspicious, and at this, one of them shot an arrow at the sound’s direction — it hit the goose on its neck, it died on the spot.
