Karva Chauth Ki Katha
This Katha (syn: story) is about a woman’s loyalty and courage. A loyal woman who truly loves her husband can go to any limit to protect him, this story is just about that.
Once a crocodile caught hold one foot of a man. This man called his wife, named Karva. Karva immediately went to Yamraj, lord of death; and asked him to kill the crocodile. When Yamraj said “no.” Karva was ready to curse him.
(Not every person has this power to give a curse or a boon; one has to do lots of spiritual sadhana to get the power of this level. So we can understand, Karva wasn’t a normal housewife but a great Sadhika as well.)
Yamraj wasn’t ready to take the curse, so he immediately killed the crocodile — and that man got his life back.
