In fact I couldn’t do it in a day, I downloaded Google Drive to my PC and thought this would help but it didn’t — my documents which I selected in Drive (Preferences > Sync Options) were all synced but still I couldn’t edit offline.

I switched browser from Opera to Mozilla but still I couldn’t edit offline, many days were ruined ‘coz I was using Chrome for other email account I didn’t want to disturb that. I searched all the web and read their posts — everyone said, “just turn on sync option which is in drive settings.” And amazing thing is, I couldn’t find this option in Opera and Mozilla, that was the main issue.

But as soon as I tried Google Chrome, I found the option to sync documents (in Drive settings) to edit them offline. I also tried Comodo Dragon, and yes it had this sync option too. And for this, you don’t need to download Google Drive, just turn on this option and you are all set to edit any document offline.
