Tourist Places In India: 53 Shakti (Sati) Peethas & 108 Devi Places

First question is, Who is Sati? And next, How did she turn in Shakti Peethas? Shakti Peethas are the strongest places of spiritual energy, people go there #) just for visit, #) for spiritual benefits, #) and for Tantra related Sadhanas and Practices. Transformation of Sati into Shakti Peethas In Ancient time-wheel, Sati, wife of lord Shiva, was the daughter of king Daksha. Daksha never liked lord Shiva, so once he organized a big Yagya (Havan) and invited everyone but left lord Shiva uninvited intentionally. Sati took it lightly and asked lord Shiva to in Yagya together. Shiva already knew the intention of Daksha, so he said, “We will not go uninvited.” Still Satil took it lightly and went alone in Yagya (leaving Shiva behind). Reaching to her father (king Daksha), she said, “Why didn’t you invite my husband?” At this king Daksha insulted the name of lord Shiva in whole assembly where all Gods, Goddesses and other Deities were present. Sati couldn’t bear the insult of her husband,...

Tourist Places In India: Name Of Dwadash (12) Jyotirling & Chaubis (24) Shivling

It is said, chanting names of 12 Jyotirlingas helps to attain Shiva’s grace. Or, if you are a Shiva Bhakta, you should know most of the things about him. These 12+24 = 36 places of lord Shiva, have insightful stories behind them, ‘coz without a cause nothing happens. Ravana was Shiva Bhakta, and everyone know how powerful he was, lord Vishnu himself had to come in the form of Rama to kill Ravana; and he took help of other deities like lord Hanuman, Shiva and other goddesses. As lord Vishnu is worshiped by most of Satoguni and Rajoguni people; lord Shiva is worshiped by everyone: Satoguni, Rajoguni and Tamoguni — and Shiva is the favorite deity of Rakshasas (Asuras). Shiva is also called “Bhola (without cunningness),” that’s why he pleases fast. He is a great protector: his healing & life saving Maha-Mrityunjaya mantras (Om Jum Sah; Om Hrom Jum Sah, Om Tryambakam Yajamahe…) is world famous. He loves Rudrakshas (tears of his eyes), wearing Rudrakshas helps to attain his grace an...

My Experience: Tourist Place Worth Visiting In Varanasi

My first visiting experience of Varanasi wasn’t good, apart from crowd and narrow streets that usually happens in old cities of India, I couldn’t digest food. After coming from there it took me 7-10 days to recover. If you are planning to stay there for few days, take a hotel that is (bit) away from any popular place, then it might be cheaper. Try to get any nearby police station number; and number of popular Indian media (Aajtek, Zeenews, BBC India, etc.,) — you can dial for safety when no one hears. Carry some electric kettle to make tea / coffee as per your own taste; you may also boil rice in it and can do other experiments with it. Temples When I visited Varanasi, I visited Kashi Vishwanath temple first, there was two long queues, I bought some flowers and went in line and did worship as others were doing.
